Laura Johnston

Laura accepts briefs in all areas of law. Her practice focuses on commercial matters, general equity, strata disputes, wills and estates and employment law. In addition, Laura has expertise in national security and counter-terrorism law and in the protection of sensitive information. Before commencing at the Bar, Laura worked as a solicitor at Allens, where she focused on banking and finance, insurance and reinsurance and general commercial matters. She then spent several years as an in-house lawyer with a Commonwealth investigative agency. Laura was an Associate to a judge of the Federal Court of Australia and has lectured in law at UTS. She has a Master of Laws from Harvard University, where she received a Dean’s Scholar Prize for academic merit, and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class 1) from the University of Sydney.
