Amelia Avery-Williams

Amelia is a highly regarded junior counsel. She has a broad civil practice that spans disputes involving contracts, corporations, equity and trusts, insurance, professional negligence, and real property including caveat matters and leasing disputes. Amelia also regularly appears in coronial inquests and commissions of inquiry, including at ICAC. She acts in regulatory proceedings, in a range of civil penalty and enforcement matters, and corporate prosecutions. Amelia appears in courts and tribunals across Australia.

Amelia is recognised as an experienced junior counsel. Amelia has been regularly listed as a leading junior counsel in the Commercial Disputes and Crime and Regulatory sections in the Legal 500. She is recognised as recommended in the Doyle’s Guide to leading New South Wales Professional Indemnity Junior Counsel.

Amelia was called to the bar in 2014. Prior to coming to the bar, Amelia was a solicitor with King & Wood Mallesons and an Associate in the Federal Court of Australia to the Hon. Justice Perram.
