12 Wentworth formed when the Wentworth side of the present Wentworth Selborne building was completed


12 Selborne formed with completion of the Selborne side


12 Wentworth and 12 Selborne combined under the guiding hand of the Hon. Dennis Cowdroy AO QC and the Hon. Robert McDougall QC. The combined floor’s first Head of Chambers was Chester Porter QC


12 Wentworth Selborne expanded by taking rooms in Lockhart Chambers


12 Wentworth Selborne further expanded to 3 Selborne, which now includes our purpose-built conference and mediation facilities.

New barristers in their first year at the bar are referred to as readers. Prospective readers must successfully complete the Bar exams and the Bar Practice Course, conducted by the NSW Bar Association, before being admitted to the Bar.

12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers typically offers three readership positions each year. Applications should be made by 30 January the year before accomodation is sought, so applications to read in 2025 should be made by 30 January 2024.
