Matthew Youssef

Matthew accepts briefs in a wide range of commercial matters, with a particular focus on banking and financial services disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement, competition and consumer law, corporations law, contract law, equity, property and securities, bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency, and commissions and inquiries into commercial entities.

Matthew was admitted as a solicitor in 2013.  Immediately prior to being called to the Bar, Matthew was a Senior Associate at Ashurst Australia where he was responsible in his role for several high stakes and ‘bet the company’ disputes as set out in his CV.

Matthew was called to the bar in 2022 where he has continued to be briefed and led in high stakes commercial litigation, and has also been briefed to advise and appear, unled, in a wide range of disputes.

Matthew graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class I) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law).
