Readers
New barristers in their first year at the bar are referred to as readers. Prospective readers must successfully complete the Bar exams and the Bar Practice Course, conducted by the NSW Bar Association, before being admitted to the Bar.
12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers typically offers three readership positions each year. Applications should be made by 15 January the year before accommodation is sought, so applications to read in 2026 should be made by 15 January 2025.
