Biography
Dr Withana accepts briefs in a broad range of matters, including commercial law, criminal law and regulatory matters. She has particular expertise in commercial and competition law, professional discipline, public law and regulatory prosecutions. She is regularly briefed by a diverse range of State and Commonwealth regulatory bodies.
Before being called to the Bar, Dr Withana worked as an associate to Justice Kiefel AC (as her Honour then was) in the High Court of Australia. She also practised as a solicitor in New South Wales at Baker & McKenzie.
Dr Withana holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from Sydney University and a Doctor of Philosophy from UNSW.
